Practice Policy
Appointments
We operate an appointment system within the practice. Please use the online booking system to make an appointment.
Appointments are allocated in 15 minute slots.
Please leave a note when making the online appointment or notify reception if you require a longer appointment time for whatever reason, for example, a full medical examination/ procedure.
When you arrive in the surgery, please register at reception to ensure that you are in queue.
Telephone calls & Emails to the Doctor
The best way to contact the doctor is to make an appointment. If the query is urgent please ring the surgery and we will try an assist you. Emails are not reviewed on a daily basis.
Accounts and Billing
Payment is necessary at each medical visit. We cannot offer credit. For your convenience we accept cash, Laser, Visa and MasterCard.
Emergency prescriptions
You may request an emergency prescription by phone,. However, please note this will be for 1 month only and will incur a charge of €20.
Passports
All children’s passports can only be signed with both parents’ presents with identification.
House Calls
Most problems are best dealt with in the surgery where there is a full range of equipment. Please note that Ballycullen Medical Centre is a single doctor practice and therefore Dr Gibney is unable to do house calls.

Updated Practice Hours
Opening Hours
Monday to Thursday 9:00am to 6:00pm
Friday 9:00am to 1:00pm
The surgery is closed Monday to Friday from 1:30pm to 2:30pm.
The Surgery is closed every Saturday and Sunday and every bank holiday.
